Midnight in Late November 2003

Midnight feeling better in February 2004

Feeling good, shedding out the old hair coat
and getting back to black in April 2004

Midnight, a Cushing’s
horse on the mend with EquiPride!
By Dan & Paulette Friedman
Dan & Paulette Friedman’s 30 year old Tennessee Walker, named
“Midnight” was diagnosed with Cushings disease in 2003. Having been
a feisty horse his whole life, enjoying the occasional kicking down
of a fence or knocking over Dan while being fed, he became listless
with very little mobility, took all day to eat, wouldn’t leave his
stall or shed his winter coat and suffered in Pennsylvania’s summer
heat. The hair coat itself went from black to a mottled brown and
gray.
In late November they decided to try EquiPride™ to see if it could
help Midnight’s deteriorating condition. To their amazement they
started to see a difference in Midnight’s attitude within a few weeks.
He began to leave his stall to walk in the field, his eyes cleared
up, a persistent skin infection on his chest healed and by February
Midnight was feeling well enough to again kick the barn doors for
his dinner.
In March, Midnight’s hair coat began to shed out and by April it
was almost all back to black. His hooves are very healthy and he
is once again grazing in the pasture and actually runs from time
to time. Something he hasn’t done for a few years.
Dan started Midnight on 3 scoops of EquiPride™ then went to 2 scoops
and now is at 1 ½ scoops a day. He has also cut back 20% on feed
because EquiPride™ allowed him to fully utilize his daily ration.
Dan and Paulette, owners of P&D Pet Supply in Mountain Top,
PA (570-474-2822) are thrilled with Midnight’s recovery! Dan says
that Midnight once again “has spunk”.
